Galena turns 200 this year, and to honor two centuries of history, craftsmanship, and character, a limited-edition screen print is being released—one designed to become part of the city’s story. Created by Adam Zalaznik, this commemorative piece isn’t just décor; it’s a true collector’s artifact.
Only 100 prints will be printed. Each one is hand-pulled, hand-numbered, and hand-signed, ensuring every copy carries the unmistakable mark of artisan craft. Printed on 100 lb. Cougar archival stock, the artwork features a velvet-smooth finish and rich color depth that digital printing simply can’t replicate.

Zalaznik Creative is proud to unveil this year’s Miner 49er Race trophies—custom laser-engraved pick axes that honor grit, guts, and gold rush glory. These aren’t your average awards. They’re hand-selected, precision-etched relics of triumph, crafted to celebrate the wild-hearted competitors who dare to dig deep and run hard.
The Miner 49er endurance runs are a beloved fixture in the ultrarunning community, offering two race distances: a 25K and a 50K. The 25K is an out-and-back course with ~2200 feet of elevation gain, while the 50K doubles the challenge with ~4400 feet of gain. Runners traverse single track, double track, and prairie trail—each step a test of strength and spirit. The course winds through a public park with sweeping views of the Julien Dubuque Monument, Horseshoe Bluff, and the mighty Mississippi River.
