The Miner 49er endurance runs are a beloved fixture in the ultrarunning community, offering two race distances: a 25K and a 50K. The 25K is an out-and-back course with ~2200 feet of elevation gain, while the 50K doubles the challenge with ~4400 feet of gain. Runners traverse single track, double track, and prairie trail—each step a test of strength and spirit. The course winds through a public park with sweeping views of the Julien Dubuque Monument, Horseshoe Bluff, and the mighty Mississippi River.
